Falling for Up-Style

Posted on

it’s 70 degrees in November…and transitioning my summer wardrobe into fall has never been easier. usually when seasons change, i change out half my closet to prepare for new temps, but this time around, we can all ease our wardrobes into the next season.  i get it…the hot and cool changes can mean allergies like no other and style confusion, but instead of doing a complete wardrobe haul this fall, try to mesh pieces from varying seasons together.

clothing should be an investment…meaning the pieces you love should carry you from season to season. it’s just a matter of smart styling. there are loads of pieces in my NAVEDA collection that can be worn throughout the year...check out what i’m wearing during this weird summer-fall-winter-spring craziness.

the style motto :: choose silhouettes + colors that scream fall, but whisper spring

wearing:: NAVEDA Siana Dress (contact us to order), Nasty Gal fishnet socks, Miraya brand statement earring, + Zara ankle booties (btw got these booties for $20!)

style tip :: fishnet ankle socks are a must have fall trend, and pairing them with booties and a dress takes you right into the next season.

wearing:: NAVEDA Sand Pleated Shorts (shop here), Zara tank, Urban Outfitters duster

silky shorts can definitely be worn year round, but layering is everything with shorts.  i chose to stay minimalist with this look and opted for a duster and simple tank, but as temps drop, I’ll style these shorts with an oversized cozy sweater and over the knee boots.

wearing:: NAVEDA Asymmetrical Drape Top (shop here), ASOS choker, Zara leather ruffle skirt

fall/winter styling doesn’t have to be blah just because it’s blah outside. instead, i chose a top from my collection with visual interest. It’s such an easy throw on because it goes with just about anything…a mini skirt, leather pants, velvet palazzos (MAJ this season), or denim.

wearing:: NAVEDA Jersey Midi Skirt (shop here), TopShop bell sleeve denim jacket (mine is sold out sadly...but here are similar ones), H&M basic off-shoulder fitted Tee, Zara ankle booties

trend alert :: midi’s are huge this season. even if you’re pint size (aka petite) like me, you can totally rock a midi (as long as you choose a high waisted silhouette, it will always give the illusion of an elongated stature). don’t dare pack up fitted skirts when you're switching out your fall clothing. here the key is creating balance… so because the skirt is fitted, i chose a boxier silhouette for the top. if you’re going to a holiday party and a denim jacket won’t give you the chic factor you need, choose a loose-fit blouse or a boxy blazer with fitted top underneath.

wearing:: NAVEDA Silver Embellished Clutch (contact us to order)

if you’re look is more on the cas side like mine, choose an accessory that takes you next level! Our embellished clutches add the right amount of badass glam to an otherwise simple look. the jeweled metallic detail would also be perfect for a more elegant look. this bag is literally meant for every style vibe.
