leggings are a busy modern girl’s best friend. when athleisure first swept through fashion, we celebrated by burning all of our tightest skinny jeans. not really - but this trend did change the way we think about effortless styling. life is hectic to say the least for me (i’m sure you can relate), so i love transitional pieces that can carry me from day to night without the fuss. here’s my style edit, featuring Mira Rae, a brand focused on making comfort chic

STYLE TIP :: think of your workout look as the base…the staple to build from. post morning-workout, layer on top of your sports bra or tank. you may not be able to waltz into work in leggings and sneakers, but the right top and accessories, no one will wonder if you got lost on your way to pilates. here, I’ve styled these electric blue leggings with block-heel ankle booties and a few classic layers. to balance the fitted appeal of leggings, opt for a boxier top. i layered a boxy bell-sleeve Zara top with a boxy sweatshirt, then belted both to add shape to the waistline.
